The course is for you if –
- You are aged between 16 – 21 years
- You are aged between 21 and 25 years (and are approved by GRETB)
- You left school early
- You are a lone/independent parent

- Yes, the training allowance is different depending on your age
- The hours are 8.30 to 4.00 Monday to Friday (Full time) and 8.30 to 1.30 Mon. Tues. Thurs. and Fri. (Part time)
- You will have a QQI Level 3 Award in Employability Skills
- You will have a QQI Level 4 Certificate in IT

- Having secured a recognised qualification, learners have gained employment in restaurants, coffee shops, kitchens, hotels, takeaways, retail stores, garages, market gardens, garden centres and as landscapers. Other learners have gone on to work as legal/medical secretaries and personal assistants in offices, hospitals and financial institutions. Other learners have chosen further education: legal, medical and secretarial courses, sport and fitness courses, in Galway Community College, health care, beautician and security courses in GTI, chef traineeship in GMIT and access course in NUI Galway and GMIT.
